My experience with Microsoft Word started when I was a young child. Words never stopped being helpful, and we were taught how to use them as a class. This helped me learn how to write essays and format all writings before that. After 6th grade, however, everyone switched to either Office 365 or Google Docs, with Google Docs being my favorite.
The term "digital native" makes sense to me because it acknowledges that younger children, as young as five, can navigate the web much more confidently than people aged seventy-five. It suggests that children born into the age of technology are naturally adept at understanding how it works. I personally consider myself part of this digital native generation, as technology has significantly impacted my learning experience. It's hard for me to imagine life without smartboards, and I don't foresee many differences between my own experience and that of future students, as we all belong to the digital native generation.
The noteworthy aspect of this article is that the criteria for being a good teacher are quite modest. While this serves as a guide, the path to being a good teacher entails more than just a simple description of what is good and what is not. My favorite aspect is being a leader, someone that students look up to by leading through example. A teacher must implement lessons that incorporate technology to propel the next generation of students forward.
